Women’s Day Events Drive Experiential Retail Push in Bengaluru

Bengaluru — As International Women’s Day approaches, several of Bengaluru’s leading malls are hosting week-long events that combine retail promotions with community-focused programming, positioning the occasion as a key moment in the city’s retail calendar.

At Bhartiya Mall of Bengaluru, TheSheImpact 3.0, scheduled from March 1 to 8, will feature a Women Entrepreneurs’ Pop-Up in association with Cosmo Bazaar, showcasing women-led brands. The event will also include a women bikers’ ride on March 7 in collaboration with the Free Spirits Motorcycling Club and a “Six Yard Run” on March 8, where participants are encouraged to run in sarees. Shoppers spending above ₹4,999 will be eligible for assured gifts and in-mall experiences.

Nexus Koramangala Mall is organizing themed bazaars, digital installations, beauty experiences and loyalty-based rewards as part of its Women’s Day programming. The format focuses on experiential retail to increase engagement and dwell time.

Phoenix Market City in Mahadevapura is hosting styling sessions, curated brand interactions, flea markets, fashion showcases and interactive contests over multiple days. The mall’s programming aims to combine fashion-led events with higher weekend footfall.

Beyond mall spaces, Women’s Day runs and fitness gatherings, including events at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium, are also drawing participation across age groups.

Industry observers note that Women’s Day has become an important retail milestone in metropolitan markets such as Bengaluru, where malls are using themed events and shopping incentives to strengthen engagement with consumers.
